I put him in this for the first time the other day and he loved it. He instantly stretched out his legs and started smiling.

He's having a conversation with his daddy. They had a lot to talk about. Mostly coos and a few squeals were exchanged.

Carson had a busy time this last weekend. We went to lunch Saturday with friends from out of town and then straight out to Jesse & Alisha's in Post Falls to play some Guitar Hero. We rocked out late into the evening. Then Sunday was Carson's first time at church. He looked at us funny during worship but to our relief he fell asleep during service and slept the whole time. He woke up right at the end, it was perfect timing and he was able to visit with his friend Alesana. After church a group of us went out to lunch at Carl's Jr so the "kids" could play in the big play gym. Josh took Carson through the play area and he was pretty mesmerized by all the colors. He was pretty tuckered out after that so I got to snuggle him to sleep while the men decided to see who could race through the play area the fatest. It was extremely entertaining!

Carson had his last checkup with our midwives yesterday. He barely fit in her sling scale. He's now 12lbs 10oz. He's gained double of what is recommended for his age. Our midwife was a little surprised by his size! She was very happy with it though. He was too cute all scrunched up in her sling that I had to take a picture! He also did much better this time. Last time Beth weighed him he screamed the entire time. He seems to be enjoying outings more and more. He doesn't get quite so overstimulated anymore. He is changing so much each day!

I know I said this before, but Carson is still growing like a weed! I put him in a 6 months outfit the other day and to my surprise it fit him! He's turning into such a little man too fast. He has recently discovered his thumb. He doesn't suck on it yet but he tries very hard. Right now he just mostly chews on it. I've been trying to get him to take a binky instead since I can eventually take that away as opposed to the thumb, but so far we haven't had a ton of success. Him sticking his thumb in his mouth is pretty cute though.

Carson has been hanging out with me a lot in the kitchen lately. He's a little small for the highchair still but he loves sitting in it while I cook. He gets to watch me whirl around the kitchen and the highchair allows him to kick his little legs around which he loves to do. Then when he gets cranky, I put him in his ergo baby carrier and finish getting stuff done.

Matt, Sara & Alana visited us this last weekend. we played lots of Guitar Hero which is our new favorite thing to do! It was great to see them and Sara got to have some quality Aunty time with Carson and I got Aunty time with Alana. Then our friends Aaron and Meghan and their two children came over to play some more Guitar Hero! It was a great weekend.

Carson has been changing so much! He's growing like a weed and has really started to interact with his environment. He started smiling and "talking." He also makes these adorable squealing sounds. He's started to bat at toys that are placed in front of him. We're also starting to adjust as parents. We love hanging out with our little guy. He's a handful, but of course totally worth all the exhaustion.
